This Fourth of July around Charlotte is sure to look a lot more normal than last year at this time when finding a fireworks celebration was nearly impossible unless you wanted to watch it on TV.

This time there will be festivals and fireworks in Charlotte and surrounding areas! Since we no longer have a mask mandate or capacity restrictions in place, we say, ‘Bring on the barbecues!’

It’s no surprise the Queen City enjoys a good Fourth of July celebration. After all, Charlotte’s history is oozing with patriotism. In fact, ‘The Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence’, declaring our separation from Great Britain was signed a whole year before the country signed the ‘Declaration of Independence’ in 1776.

Not only that but we display our patriotism more than many. Did you know that in 2014 Amazon analyzed it’s American flag sales in cities with over 400,000 residents. Charlotte ranked 7th highest.

There seems to be an extra reason to celebrate our Freedoms this year!!! So we asked a few 5 Points agents/brokers to share what they are most happy to have the freedom to do and where they are looking forward to going!

Breweries and all that they represent.

This picture is from a Nathaniel Ratliff and The Night Sweats concert. Fun and frolicking, maybe we can have fun again!

Game nights in person! While Internet game nights were a nice pandemic option, nothing beats a night of friendly competition with good friends (and furry friends).

I am most thankful for the freedom to safely hug our family and friends this year, especially my parents.
