Originally settled after the Civil War, and named for a Union Major, this area is full of some of Charlotte’s richest history. Anchored by historic Johnson C. Smith University, this area is also known by the moniker of our namesake, 5 Points. Quaint-bungalows, southern cottages, and winding streets meander through these welcoming neighborhoods. Lately, Biddleville is a nationally-recognized neighborhood for it’s exciting revitalization. Smallwood was one of Charlotte’s first post-WWII suburbs for the housing needs after the war. The conveniences and amenities of urban living are plentiful here: greenways, LYNX streetcar, and a brewery are all part of the neighborhood.
