Originally settled after the Civil War, and named for a Union Major, The West End area is full of some of Charlotte’s richest history. Anchored by historic Johnson C. Smith University, this area is also known by the moniker of our namesake, 5 Points. Quaint-bungalows, southern cottages, and winding streets meander through these welcoming neighborhoods. Lately, Biddleville is a nationally-recognized neighborhood for it’s exciting revitalization. Smallwood was one of Charlotte’s first post-WWII suburbs for the housing needs after the war. The conveniences and amenities of urban living are plentiful here: greenways, LYNX streetcar, and a brewery are all part of the neighborhood.
